i miss my kids!

i was sooooo close of bursting into tears while skype-ing with my mak last night. She was telling me how they had celebrate belated birthdays of july babies of my family; that is my pak (17th July, his 59th) and my little cousin Azrin (28th July, her 5th), we fondly call her adek since she was our youngest at that time.

my parents bought her cake. mak said she was all excited seeing her pink cake, her favourite color. What touched me the most was how mak said that as soon as adek arrived at our place with both her parents (that's my uncle and aunt) and her Zikri (we call him abang), she immediately stormed off upstair, directly into my room, looking for me. When everyone told her Kaknie is not home yet, she's still in s*u*d*a*n.. she answered them to not to lie to her please, Kaknie must be here cos she saw my shoes downstair.

that kinda broke my heart, knowing that they esp. adek still misses me, keep looking for me even after frequently been told that i am now living away from home, with my husband.

I am very close to those two, adek & abang. they practically grew up under my eyes. They even sleep with me in my bilik pengantin the night after my solemnization (cos my husband only moved in the day after our reception). Adek even went into BIG merajuk session on the morning of my wedding reception day cos i left her, so she said. i had to left early to get ready at the bridal salon without waking her up. I was told later that they had to reallyyyy coaxed her to get ready for the my reception cos she was laying still on the bed refusing to move. my aunt had to make her up in the car! my little drama queen!!

Kaknie is such a pal to them that my yells at them for being naughty tak akan laku punya!! cos we laugh together, color the books together, solve the homework, mess the house together, we practically kid together; but still, my "NO" is what they listen to, after their parents'. ever since the were little. Some people asked me how do i do it.. what's the trick that only Kaknie get to tackle them, that got these 2 normally naughty kids to be sooo close to their Kaknie.. i guess there is no trick. my 2 brothers are grown up now, in fact they grown up bigger & taller than their kaknie that some thought i'm their younger sis! (ehem...sedikit vangga di situ. means mak nampak muda lah kan, noks? ;p ) so i kinda miss having little siblings that i can play around with. i turned to these 2 cousins. u just had to be truly genuine with kids cos they just know when u don't. it's the nowadays kids we're talking about...the one that bring their cells to kindies nowadays! zaman aku dulu bawak telefon jugak apa...botol air bentuk handphone yang bapak besar tu!! heheee... Their trusts are in someone that actually LISTEN to them..that's what i personally think.

i miss yelling NO to them...i miss them for calling my name out loud in the shopping mall that the whole hall know i am the Kaknie! i miss their weekend sleepover at my place. i miss them; my cousins, my kids. i'll be home in october insyaAllah, i'll bring u lots of pink stuff ok, adek..?

p/s: i truly hope that i'll be as good when i have children of my own later in life. pray for me.
insyaAllah.
